Date Night
Date Night.
Date Night. It’s Date Night! We've enhanced intimacy with our loved one this week and we have been challenged to humble ourselves and to step out of our box. Let’s all take a deep breath and have some fun! Tonight I challenge you to a date night with your loved one. Date night is an arranged day and time to spend with your loved one. Date night can be fun. Date night can be romantic. If you have children you may be overdue for a date night, today is your day!! If you do not have a babysitter and/or date night funds, that is okay. Never allow a budget to dictate you spending time with your loved one. Your loved one busy, working tonight, and/or have a prior engagement scheduled? That’s okay too, use today to schedule your date night with your loved one. Put it on the calendar, put it in his/her phone; make reservations with one another. Highly prioritizing time for a fun date night is essential!
Your date night does not have to cost you money. I repeat your date night does not have to cost you money. However, if you are in position to get a babysitter and got out on the town for some fun with your loved one; great! Please do that today! Go out, have fun, enjoy each other's company doing what you two delight and/or use tonight to try something different.
Date night out on the town can be a day date or a night date. Some suggestions are as follows: lunch, dinner, movies, couples massage, cooking class, wine tasting, bowling, picnic, dancing, comedy club, dance classes, concert, live band, wine & canvas, sports game, that one thing or place that you’ve been wanting to try, that one thing your loved one has been wanting to do, etc.
Date night at home can be very creative and fun as well. If you have children date night can take place after you put the children to bed. Some suggestions are as follows: order dinner or lunch in, breakfast in bed, a glass of wine, Pandora radio and some dancing in your living room, rent a movie, watch your favorite blu-ray together again, light candles and simply talk, make s’mores by the fireplace and enjoy each other's company, talk over cocktails and appetizers, heat the pool or jacuzzi and take a night swim, take turns giving each other a massage, play a questions game to learn more about one another, etc.
The above suggestions are not an exhaustive list, it's simply a place to get your wheels turning, be creative and freshen things up! Tonight’s date should be about fun, romance, friendship, and growing closer. Use this time to rediscover one another. Leave the worries behind while on your date. Start planning NOW!
